Mission Statement
The Wheeling Symphony Society, Inc. serves the residents of our communities by providing excellent orchestral programs which entertain, educate and enhance the quality of life.

We are the smallest city in America to support a symphony of our budget size and caliber. The costs associated with operating a symphony orchestra are as extraordinary as the benefits it provides. Perusing the website gives you some idea of the scope of the symphony's offerings.

  • Masterworks and Pops Subscription Series
  • Free Concerts on the 4th of July and Labor Day Weekend
  • Symphony on Ice
  • Young People's Concerts
  • Wheeling Symphony Youth Orchestra
  • Voices & Music Outreach Program
  • Partnerships-in-Education

These wonderful activities are only possible through the generosity of the people and businesses of the Ohio Valley. Each year our loyal supporters and new friends step forward to share in the stewardship of this marvelous symphony. Please look at the opportunities below and then consider how you can best show your support.

Annual Fund: Your gifts -- large and small -- help to keep the music playing. If you don't receive our annual solicitation letter in September, please contact the office.

Major Gifts and Endowments: A major gift given during your lifetime shows how much you value the symphony, and it can encourage others to do the same. It is also a wonderful way to honor someone you love, or their memory, through a naming opportunity.

Wheeling Symphony Heritage Society: The Heritage Society recognizes, during their lifetimes, those who have created a provision in their estate plans to benefit the symphony. There are many types of planned gifts and some provide lifetime income benefits to the individuals or their dependents, as well as benefiting the symphony.

Concert Sponsorships: The WSO could not afford our subscription series were it not for the support of our corporate and individual sponsors.

Donate Online: Use our Online Donation page for fast, easy and secure donations.
